October marks the start of fall festival season along the coast. With celebrations centered around everything from pirates to Halloween, it’s a wonderful time to get outside and enjoy the welcoming culture of the area. Scroll below for more information on our featured October events!

Pirates of the High Seas & Renaissance Fest
Aaron Bessant Park | Panama City Beach
October 6th- 8th, 2023

Calling all ye mateys, fair maidens and swashbucklers of all ages to Panama City Beach for the annual Pirates of the High Seas & Renaissance Fest. This year’s free celebration sets sail October 6-8. Enjoy action-packed weekend of fireworks, live mermaid shows, a fire circus, parades, a treasure drop, and Cirque Adventure capping off our evenings each night.


2nd BARK-toberfest
Dogs and Drinks | Panama City
October 7th, 2023

Get ready for a tail-wagging good time as we celebrate the spirit of Oktoberfest with our furry friends at the 2nd BARK-toberfest! This year, we’re bringing even more fun, laughter, and doggy delights to make your October unforgettable. Event Highlights include a lederhosen/dirndl costume contest, polka musical sits, sausage dog races, a yodeling competition, themed photo area, a dog hoisting competition, and more!


Pumpkin Patch at Camp Helen
Camp Helen State Park | Panama City Beach
October 7th, 2023 (Saturdays in October)

Join The Friends of Camp Helen State Park for Saturdays in the Patch from 11AM – 3PM. This year, Saturdays in the Patch will feature wildlife crafts, nature walks, games, haunted history tour, storytelling, and live music with Huck & Lily. Food will be available for purchase in the park via food trucks. Pumpkins will be sold 7 days a week, from 9AM – 4PM through October 31st or until sold out.


Panama City Beach Oktoberfest

October 13th – 15th, 2023

This October at Aaron Bessant Park in Pier Park, PCB Oktoberfest is on for three days of German beer, food, music, as well as activities for kids and families. The event will feature a massive 150’x50′ tent decorated like the authentic Oktoberfest tent in Munich, Germany, as well as two outdoor beer gardens and a VIP section under the tent. Get ready for great German food—pair your beer with brats, either famous or smoked, meterwurst, or hot dogs!


Thunder Beach Fall Motorcyle Rally
Multiple Venues | Panama City Beach
October 19th -22nd, 2023

Thunder Beach, “The Most Biker Friendly FREE Rally in the United States”! Bikers, vendors, and exhibitors from around the country descend on Panama City Beach for Bike Week, to share stories, see great bands and live entertainment, find the hottest custom motorcycles and motorcycle accessories available, and to experience a scenic ride on The World’s Most Beautiful Beaches!


Spooky Fall Festival
Rutherford High School | Panama City
October 28th, 2023

Rutherford High School Beta Club is hosting a Spooky Fall Festival. Vendors and school clubs that participate will have candy for children trick or treating. Sell your merchandise and make community connections. More details will be added closer to the date.


Boo by the Beach
Pier Park | Panama City Beach
October 31st, 2023

Trick-or-treating is better by the beach! On Halloween, from 4 to 7 p.m., boos and ghouls can go store-to-store collecting treats in an open-air, family-friendly environment. Need something to wear? Pier Park is collecting new and gently used costumes at the Mall Management Office October 2 through 27. Costumes for adults and children in all sizes are needed. Guests can browse our costume bank to find their favorite scare wear!
