February was another great month for residential real estate sales along the Forgotten Coast! There were 38 single family homes closed and 67 pending or contingent properties across the key communities of Apalachicola, Cape San Blas/Indian Pass, Carrabelle, Mexico Beach/St. Joe Beach, Port St. Joe and St. George Island. Mexico Beach/St. Joe Beach had the highest number of closings for the month while the highest priced property to sell during February was a Gulf front home on 12 acres on Cape San Blas.
As of March 5th, the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Beach Properties of Florida St. George Island office was leading the market in sales volume for Franklin and Gulf counties combined with nearly $13 million in sales volume year-to-date. The office was also number one in sales volume for both the St. George Island and Apalachicola markets for the same period.
