The St. Joe Company Announces Exciting New Developments for Walton and Bay Counties

Recently ranked by the U.S. Census Bureau as the 19th fastest growing county in the entire country for 2016, Walton County continues to flourish with new commercial and residential development. The St. Joe Company just announced plans for two new commercial centers in South Walton with retail opportunities along with new multi-family and senior living residences. Conceptual plans were also shared for a mixed-use opportunity adjacent to Panama City Beach’s premier shopping and entertainment destination, Pier Park.

 

WATERSOUND ORIGINS

The blossoming community of Watersound Origins is quickly becoming the address of choice for many South Walton families with its outstanding onsite amenities, high quality homes and ease of access to both the beach and Highway 98. Conceptual plans for the commercial parcel adjacent to the Watersound Origins community include 330,000 square feet of retail space, 127,380 square feet of office space and 256 multi-family residences. Plans for this new town center concept include a medical office, grocer, restaurants and more.

TOPSAIL

Ideally located at the gateway to South Walton, The St. Joe Company plans a three-tier development in the Topsail area with conceptual plans that include 228,300 square feet of retail space, 5,000 square feet of office space and 190 senior living units (7.54 acres). With high visibility and high traffic among tourists traveling between Destin and Panama City Beach, the commercial parcels offer significant retail development opportunities.

PIER PARK EAST

In addition, the St. Joe Company will also be launching a commercial development in neighboring Bay County at Pier Park, the popular lifestyle and shopping center in Panama City Beach. Located along Highway 98, the existing Pier Park retail submarket incorporates more than 1.4 million square feet of retail space encompassing Simon’s Pier Park and St. Joe’s and CASTO’s Pier Park North.

 

 

This 85+/- acre parcel rests in in one of Florida’s fastest growing coastal markets and strongest tourism economies. Conceptual plans in include 57 acres designated to commercial development and 29 acres allocated to a multi-family development of 348 townhome residences.
